Smithfield Leap Year Celebration
Wednesday, February 26- Saturday, February 29: 
Break away from the winter blues and join the townspeople of Smithfield, Maine’s only Leap Year town, for FOUR FAMILY FUN FILLED DAYS and NIGHTS! Thanks to our many local businesses for sponsoring all of the planned events --unless otherwise stated, everything is FREE! (Donations happily accepted!)
Wednesday, February 26 – FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT 6-8pm
Fairview Grange #342 in the village. Hot Dogs, Popcorn, drinks
and snacks available. Movie TBA!


Thursday, February 27, Join us at the Fairview Grange #342 for a MURDER MYSTERY DINNER
$25 pp and space is limited
6pm...get your tickets at the Town Office asap! This event is BYOB.

Friday, February 28, THE LEAP YEAR TONIGHT SHOW featuring local entertainment - musicians, dancers, comedians surprise guests!

Saturday, February 29– VINTAGE SNOWMOBILE SHOW & SWAP at TRI-POND VARIETY Corner of Rte 137 & Rte 8. 9am registration. Raffles, evening trail ride and so much more...FMI go to their Facebook page.

EARTH DAY/SPRING CLEAN UP
Saturday, April 25
, Boat Landing – North Shore Drive 9am Wear boots, gloves, bring water, shovel/spade, rake if you have them and a smile! Get your volunteer hours in by helping spruce up our kiosk area with ECM, litter patrol, raking and having fun while doing it. More hands = less work! Thanks!

  

FREE MDIF&W Watercraft Safety Course
Saturday, June 6, 2019

9am-4pm
This is the 5th year NPA will host this course in
collaboration with Fairview Grange #342 on Village Road
in Smithfield. Become boater certified, brush up on old
rules and learn some new ones, teens become certified at
age 16 and up to drive personal watercraft as well. Join in!
Free lunch will be served! This is usually the ONLY course
offered in all of Kennebec and Somerset Counties. Don’t
miss out.

 – How To Become LakeSmart-er Workshop at the Fairview Grange #342, Smithfield 9am-11am.  Light refreshments, learn how to use Best Management Practices on and around your property to improve North Pond's water quality, especially in front of your own camp! Leave with a FREE Buffer Plant to get your started!
