Courtesy Boat Inspector Volunteer Opportunity
Courtesy Boat Inspectors (CBIs; you might recognize their yellow t-shirts at public boat launches) help keep North Pond safe from invasive aquatic species by
-
educating boaters about invasive species, and
-
monitoring boats and trailers entering and leaving North Pond via the public boat launch on North Shore Drive.
Volunteers are provided with training on recognizing and inspecting boats for invasive species, documenting your inspections, and how to use the Homebase app.
Please consider volunteering for a ½ day shift once or twice this summer. The NPA has committed to providing volunteer CBIs every Wednesday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
